Tight schedule of FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy effects RX Lites competitors too. Only one week after the 3rd round in Kuovola, Finland, RX Lites Series moving to Höljes, Sweden. This means no rest for the drivers and teams.
Swedish round will be hosting a record breaking number of competitors in RX Lites. There will be 14 drivers lined up and this is the highest number of entries so far. As the rounds pass by, there are more and more rallycross drivers interested in to be a part of RX Lites Series.
After winning in Finland, 16-years-old Kevin Hansen Jr is again on entry list and he will try to repeat what he achieved on previous round. Championship leader Kevin Eriksson on the other hand will do his best to defend his crown on his own home soil. The one and only Turkish rallycross driver Yigit Timur raised up to second place on overall standings after Finland and his one and only target is to step up on the podium again.
Sandra Hultgren was the first ever woman driver to start in RX Lites. She was made it to final race in Finland but not fortunate enough to see the finish line. Mikaela Ahlin-Kotulinsky will be joining Sandra in Höljes as the second woman driver in RX Lites. She will also be throttling up in this though competition to make it to finals and to podium.
Joacim Hvaal, Kenneth Tomasson, Tobias Brink and Linus Leise are the new comers to the series. Asmund Holten will be driving his brother Daniel’s car, since he is driving a Supercar on this weekend. Patrik Flodin is also on the entry list and finally he will be in RX Lites action, as he couldnt make it to start on previous rounds.
Höljes, very small town close to Norwegian border, is hosting the WorldRX event this weekend and Finnskoga Motorsports Club is in charge of the organisation. Even before the weekend starts there are thousands of fans already arrived to the venue to join the aciton. Organisers promising full of action for two days with 107 entries altogether and they are expecting more than 30.000 spectators, which will be the most crowded round of World RX so far.
