Intercontinental RX Lites Cup has just finished with an amazing final race in Trois Rivieres, Canada.
Patrik Sandell, former JWRC Champion, made it to victory after an unbelievable attack in the race.He started from the last line of the grid but managed to get the lead and dominate the race with a clean win.On his first appearance of the season in RX Lites, he will be enjoying this win with a pleasure for sure.
Kevin Eriksson, current leader of RX Lites season, kept himself out of trouble and drove his car to the podium.As Patrik, Kevin has also started from the last line of the grid but showed his will to the podium and once again proved how consistent and fast he can be.
Julien Febreau was the name who completed the podium of CanadaRX. French man used his rallycross experience to drive his RX Lites on passing th finish line at third place.
American driver Austin Cindric finished at fourth place after making an enormous effort to complete the final race.
Despite Oliver Eriksson made it to pole position, he couldn’t make it to finish the race. 16 years old young Swede hit his riear right to the wall and it was not possible to move his RX Lites to finish line.
Garrett Grist was the second name who can not finish the final race after a puncture withold him to see the finish line.
After Mitchell Dejong’s droppin down from the list, due to his poisoning from the food, Kevin Hansen Jr was the strongest favourites of the race day.He hit his car on heats and couldn’t finish the semi final 1, so he wasn’t racing on final. Alejandro Fernandez was another name who cannot finish the semi final race after hitting and losing his front left wheel.Canadian Rally Champion Antoine L’Estage finished 4th on semi final but was not enough to compete on final race. He was disappointed with this result but enjoyed each and every lap of the race day.
RX Lites series, as a supporting event for FIA World Rallycross Championship Presented by Monster Energy, will continue with its penultimate race at Franciacorta Circuit of Italy on September 27-28.
